Bidirectional Sealing
The butterfly type Cameron DEMCO valve provides bidirectional flow sealing at full-rated pressure with similar flow from either direction.
Integral Flange Seal
An integral flange seal cast into the edge of the seat of the butterfly valve accommodates numerous flange types, including: ASME weld neck, slip-on, threaded, socket, and stub-end type-C flanges.
ASME Class 150 Rating
Cameron DEMCO Butterfly Valves have a body rating of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Class 150 (285-psi nonshock). The wafer body diameters are also designed to self-centre in the ASME Class 150 flange pattern.
How Does A DEMCO Butterfly Valve Work
Cameron DEMCO butterfly valves are quarter-turn valves that stop and start media flow in pipelines. When the rod quarter-turns the disc to a position perpendicular to the flow direction, it closes. The disc is then rotated back to enable the flow when the valve opens. An actuator can be used to operate the DEMCO Butterfly Valve manually, pneumatically, or electronically, which dramatically improves the overall control you have over the valve. When the actuator is attached to the disc, the disc will move in accordance with the needed action. Aside from actuators, gears and handles can also be used in tandem to control the butterfly valve, giving you a wide range of options for controlling and handling.

How Does a DEMCO Gate Valve Work
A lifting gate or wedge is used to operate the Cameron DEMCO Gate Valve to ensure that the flow is unhindered. A hand wheel or motor at the stem’s top end raises and lowers the doors, and a circular or wedge-shaped gate blocks flow at the stem’s bottom end. The DEMCO Gate Valve uses a threaded stem and must be turned several times to change from the open position to the closed position and vice versa. When the DEMCO Gate Valve is fully opened, the disk is entirely cut off from the flow and almost no resistance is provided by this. As a result, relatively little pressure loss occurs as the flow passes through.
