Frequently Asked Questions about ROCOL Wire Rope Dressings
For optimal preservation, ROCOL Wire Rope Dressing should be stored in its original container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The recommended storage temperature range is between +1°C and +40°C. Avoid exposure to freezing conditions and excessive heat, as these can affect the dressing’s consistency and performance. Ensure the container is tightly sealed when not in use to prevent contamination and preserve its quality.
When stored under the recommended conditions, ROCOL Wire Rope Dressing has a shelf life of up to 4 years from the date of manufacture. It’s important to check the manufacturing date on the packaging and use the dressing within this timeframe to ensure its effectiveness. Over time, even when stored correctly, the properties of the dressing may change, which could impact its performance.
ROCOL Wire Rope Dressing is specifically designed to penetrate deeply into wire ropes, providing thorough lubrication to both the internal and external strands. This reduces internal friction, wear, and corrosion, significantly extending the rope’s lifespan. Its formula also offers excellent adhesion, ensuring the dressing stays in place under various operational conditions, thus maintaining consistent lubrication and protection. Additionally, its resistance to water and environmental contaminants helps preserve the integrity of wire ropes even in harsh working environments.
